Btw, WE’RE CRAZY!!!
For the last 5 years we’ve been renting a house in town, and only here recently have we really been looking for land so we can eventually build a house! So we’ve found a couple pieces that we like and put in our offers. I’m not sure if all husbands are like this, but mine in particular likes to research the crap out of stuff for weeks at a time….and you guessed it, he’s been on campers for a while. Hence the bright idea to buy a camper and live on our land!
Don’t you love it when you have a certain one picked out, a budget set, and then you end up getting the total opposite of what you had picked out??? Yeah, well that’s what happened to us. We go to Camping World in Little Rock (shout out to Toni for helping us she was awesome!) and you tell the sales person, “yeah just go ahead and show us the one with all of our wants/needs, we can dream-haha”, and the next thing you know you’re leaving with the one you wouldn’t dare to look at online! Anyways, we justified it by telling each other, “Well we ARE going to be living in it for a while.”
Skip forward a couple of weeks, and we are in LOVE with it. It’s a huge change, but it’s a good one! It’s like a breath of fresh air to only have the things you really need. Realizing that everything we’re surrounded by is just STUFF. Meaningless stuff that we don’t need! Except clothes……I. Love. Clothes!!! And I have sadly rubbed off on my 5 year old, so he loves them just as much as I do. Let me tell you how hard it was to downsize my closet to this camper where we don’t even have a closet! Well, we do but it’s Finn’s room currenly. No worries, I’ll talk about that later though! So long story short, we’re a family of four who moved into this camper where we are so close to each other that if someone farts, lookout because we are all bound to smell it. Wish us luck!
